Best Pumpkin Patches in Santa Cruz-Watsonville area

Crystal Bay Farm

The favorite of many including us with different activities for the family and look at the events they have during the month of October.

The reason we like this pumpkin patch is not just because the gorgeous, picturesque farm view in the way there. Also, the way it is distributed and the decorations. Although not the biggest one in the area it is sure a fun one. They also have live music on weekend evening and ad to the spooky atmosphere and fun. Sometimes they have bouncy house for the kids while they play live band music. So fun!

This farm offers a unique experience where you can pick from an assortment of pumpkins, strawberries, and sunflowers. Plus, explore the farm’s chickens, horse, and sheep. 

The patch is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays 

The entrance fee is $2 per person, and dogs are not permitted.

Gizdich Ranch

For a fun family experience, in Gizdich Ranch in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County is perfect . They have hayrides, corn mazes, and this farm is famous for its apple cider and the pick your own apples experience (depending on the season). Live Earth Farm: 

This organic farm in Watsonville hosts a pumpkin patch that provides a genuine farm experience. In addition to picking pumpkins, you can enjoy live music, crafts, and farm tours. The farm also emphasizes sustainability and organic practices.

It is different every year even if they don’t plant a patch, they have some for sale at the Farm Stand or a harvest festival where you can get them.

Post Street Farm

Post Street Farm is the perfect destination to find good pumpkins and enjoy fun family activities in the middle of town! From the detailed and festive decorations to an impressive selection of pumpkins, and even a haunted house to explore, this Santa Cruz farm has become a Halloween staple. 

Not only does the farm offer a selection of heirloom tomatoes, corn, and honey, but it also has a wide array of gorgeous dahlias and pumpkins – of all shapes and sizes – to give any family’s Halloween home decor a special touch. From the vivid Halloween decorations in October to the Christmas trees in December, this Dahlia farm is a sight to behold year-round! Their selection of flowers in a rainbow of colors is stunning–we should know, we’ve been here in September, October, and December! Visitors can also observe the beehives, purchase honey and beeswax candles produced onsite, and meet the owner’s rescue kitty. And don’t forget to say hello to Speedy, the farm’s friendly Jack Russell Terrier – he’s sure to put a smile on your face.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

This is a patch not a farm but still so much fun. You can find here not juts your perfect pumpkin also enjoy all the extra activities they have that are fun for the kids and family. This is a great spot for a beautiful variety of pumpkins. In addition to pumpkins, the patch offers a petting zoo, train ride, climbing walls, gold mining, bumper boats, hamster balls, pumpkin painting, cotton candy, snow cones and more.

5$ a person hay rides, 5$ cow train, 8$ for the hamster ball things on the water. Very small pumpkins 5$ each then the prices go up to 30$ for the large ones.

Sunnyside Pumpkin Patch

Sunnyside Produce in Soquel is a classic in middle of town features pumpkins, gourd and squash as well as activities such as Halloween-themed games, a spooky graveyard, and a petting zoo on weekends where families can feel the softness of rabbits, ducks, pygmy sheep, chickens and other animals.

 The patch is open 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily and the petting zoo noon to 7:30 p.m. weekends

Capitola Village Produce PUMPKIN PATCH

This store in the heart of Capitola has the cutest pumpkin Patch set up for a perfect backdrop family picture. Although they don’t have Halloween activities you can make sure you will find quality products including your pumpkin and get your fall experience without driving to far.

Best Pumpkin Patches is Santa Cruz -Santa Cruz area

Rodoni Farms:

It is in the skirt of Santa Cruz – Davenport and is a popular spot for pumpkin picking and breathtaking ocean view. The farm has a large selection of pumpkins, gourds, and squash. You can also find cornstalks maze (5-acre) and decorative items for your fall decor.

It has year-round a variety of organic produce from artichokes to Brussels sprouts to cauliflower. During October a great pumpkin patch but also gives families an opportunity to traverse through a corn maze, climb on hay bales or stick their faces through cardboard cutouts of ghosts and witches for photo-ops.

Fambrini’s Farm Fresh Product

Fambrini’s offers year round farm-fresh products and in October they offer pumpkins and a photogenic produce stand by the ocean. Stop here and enjoy also the scenic drive.

Where: on Highway 1, nine miles north of Santa Cruz, CA

 

Swanton Berry Farm

We love this farm because offer pick you opportunities during the year and have delicious desserts and apple cider. During the season you can find not just pumpkin. Also, you can find delicious pumpkin pie, cobblers, and shortcakes available. There is an honor system here in case you don’t find someone at cashier make sure to pay in cash or card!
